Let me digress for a moment

I know this is a music-oriented blog, but i felt compelled to talk about another entertainment medium today and one show in particular that has caught my attention recently.

Love My Way is a drama series set in inner Sydney, centred around a group of young,urbane Australians. They have real jobs, real problems and real stories. This show portrays the real Australia, the Australia that has a 50% divorce rate, sruggles to cope with the commitments of family, friends and career, and shows the compelxity of 21st century relationships. It shows the real Sydney, away from the harbour and its beaches, and delves into its heart; a dense, intricate and vibrant metroplois crawling with people nursing stories of discontent and heartache.

Its is refreshing to see an Australian drama that doesn't focus on the boring outback, or the cliched beach scene, or on unreal stories and people. It is extremely well written and brilliantly acted ,a cast headed by the underrated Claudia Karvan and a slew of fresh, talented faces. This program is only available on Pay-TV, and that is a travesty. This show is important.
