Hope you all had a good Easter, some of you might be all tuckered out from being present when Amber Savage lifted the lid off Bloc on Saturday Night. How good was she!
Theres heaps of stuff happening on the Sydney scene at the moment so today your going to get a dose of that.
- The only radio station that seems to really give a shit about quality Aussie music, fBi, will soon be launching its Sydney radio station online! So those poor reception problems you get if you live on the periphery will no longer be a problem.
- Still on fBi, the fBi Afterparty is a new club night at Spectrum, 34 Oxford St Darlinghurst every Friday night. They play all the music you wish they would play at clubs and its dirt cheap at 8 bucks, 5 if you are an fBi supporter. Finally a place for the indie kids to play.
- The Come Together festival will be at Luna Park on the 10th & 11th June, with an extremely diverse line-up. Strung Out, The Butterfly Effect, Van She, The Valentinos, The Hard-Ons and so many more will be there.
- Those uber-cool cats at Modular are hosting their monthly evening of madness at The Basement on the 29th April, featuring Simain Mobile Disco from London.
- I nearly wet myself when one of my musical ears informed me of this show. We Love....Sounds will hit the Hordern Pavillion on the 11th June with an incredible line up of Electronic and Hip-Hop artists. Among them will be the legendary Grandmaster Flash, Digitalism, Annie, The Presets, Van She (again), Bang Gang DJ's and Infusion. Tix start at around 80 bucks. This is 80 bucks i wont be missing when i spend it on this gig
- Our sources tell us that the worlds most enigmatic band, Tool will be hitting Sydney on the 10th August. More news when we get it.
