Shake Down The Thunder
For those that care, this Saturday the mighty Sydney Swans will attempt to win the Australian Football League premiership cup for the second consecutive year against the West Coast Eagles. Being a music blog, here is their legendary team song which is a variation on the famous song of Notre Dame University in the US. It is a stirring anthem, encouraging the likes of Big Bad Bazza, Magic and Kirky to march 'onwards to victory'. Let's hope they do.
MP3: Cheer Cheer The Red and the White (Sydney Swans FC Theme Song) (mp3 back soon)
This band, they aren't Japanese, they are from Brighton. They are called Fujiya & Miyagi and they make really human electronica. They are one of my new favourite bands and these mp3's rule. That is all you need to know.
MP3: Fujiya & Miyagi - Photocopier
MP3: Fujiya & Miyagi - Collarbone
MYSPACE: Fujiya & Miyagi
mp3's links thanks to pitchfork and obscure sound, my file host isn't working at the moment sorry
VIDEO: TISM - Greg the Stop Sign
More Big Day Out rumours are emerging as the actual line-up announcement draws closer, with a-reminder getting their hands on a comprehensive possible line-up. All I can say is that it is total garbage. Except for My Chemical Romance and TISM. It is also an excuse to post a classic TISM video.
