I Will Fight This Stranger That You Should Fear

The Tallest Man On Earth is a racontuer of enormous talent. I struggled to find a mediocre song on his full length, The Wild Hunt. I’ve had his album for quite some time but being incredibly busy with my prac teaching, I waited to devote the proper time to listening. On Saturday, I chucked this on the iPod and enjoyed the momentary sunshine the morning brought me.

I’m not really going to try writing some long winded post on everything I like about The Tallest Man On Earth. The best thing about The Tallest Man On Earth is that he sells himself. Even when he swears it’s clearly descended from the heavens.

While definitely inspired, he is in the same way original. Don’t waste your time making Dylan comparisons, if the biggest serial comparators going round (Pitchfork Media) can dodge Dylan comparisons, so can you. Just enjoy it.

My personal favourites are Burden of Tomorrow & Troubles Will Be Gone but this live acoustic rendition of The Wild Hunt is equally sensational.

His voice irks me. Although he is quite pleasing to look at.

Detest the Paul Simon cover, but I think this guy is pretty good in general.

I see what you say Ms Magoo, he is a small doses type, too much of his voice and it would grate on me badly. One at time this is good stuff.
