Don't Lie, You Don't Read My Blog!

Lately the amount of amazing music Whiteboydancefloor is being sent is bordering on ridiculous. I never doubted there this was much good music out there but I never thought people would give much of a shit to send it to me.

You always get the "hey I really enjoy your blog" or if you're lucky they say "I liked when you posted" and they'll use that template for thousands of blogs. It is hard to tell when someone has genuinely checked your blog out, so I thought I needed to do something to pre-screen.

To combat this, I introduced a policy of giving priority to not just Australian music but also music that send me emails with English Premier League players' names in the email's title.

I had my first hit and it excited me immensely because the email was also from an Australian act. I really love good Italo Disco and it's easy to tell the good from the bad. I think listening to good Italo Disco is a lot like making a good ham and cheese toasted sandwich, you want the cheesy to ooze but you don't want it to burn and fuck up the Breville so that your Mum gets shitted at you and makes you clean it.

In celebration, I give you We:Are:Fans with a remix of their track "Inferno". I think a mistake with anything like this is going too far. It's all well and good to be very dramatic and theatrical but if its too ellaborate I think it loses that cerebral appeal. We:Are:Fans have enough of a hook to draw you in but appropriately use enough restraint to not over do it. The mantra "I am your fire" is slowly impregnated in the deepest parts of your memory. I could see this used in an 80's working out montage to great effect.

Try watching something like this and use We:Are:Fans as the music. Love it!

i enjoyed the vid more than the song. but they do go together quite well. but thats why i sit on my fat ass eating mnms and watching television instead of getting people to send me music.
