Pretty Girls Make Graves+Amber Savage = WGDF
Pretty Girls Make Graves - Stream their stuff here!
Early in their career they were compared to the sound of At The Drive-In, however they have evolved into something much different and more unique. Sure that guy yelling in the background sounds like Jim Wards impassioned intonations but sonically they are more restrained and far more dense. Despite their punkier roots, vocalist Andrea Zollo's voice is smooth as silk behind PGMG's off-kilter, frenetic soundscape. Their new album Elan Vital is out today in the US, not too sure when the Aussie release is. Stay Tuned.
Amber Savage @ Bloc Penrith - Saturday 15th April
This smoking hot DJ has been Queen of the Sydney dance scene for several years now, spinning tunes from the harder end of the electronic spectrum. She recently released the fantastic Central Energy compilation with the incredible Archie and Baby Gee to much acclaim and she will take her trademark sounds west to give Bloc a lesson in dance music. The WBDF crew will be there going nuts to her so we will see you there! (If she turns up lolz office joke)
