If a muzza gives you attitude, drop him on the spot!

How i found this band, I'll never know. Hello Lobster hail from Portland, Oregon and Casio Keyboards will forever be in business so long as these guys and their "myspace" top 12, top 8, top whatever are making music. With trashy ease, Hello Lobster prove that just when you thought no one was rapping to scar guitars and processed drum beats... you thought wrong.

I liken Hello Lobster to the Samuel L Jackson movie Snakes on a Plane, while you put on your Napoleon Dynamite voice and think "Gosh! this is gross!, This song doesn't have any good skills" but then you find yourself struggling to live without it. The track "haricut city" was in that same vein for myself. The keyboards are over the top, the vocals so pretentious you'd think it was Brian Wilson still having a crack at being classic-cool and the lyrics are worse than Alanis Morrisette. But... put all of it together and quite frankly if "everyone's getting a haircut" then so am i!

Now moving on in fine fashion to dare I say my favourite track of the year! Couple this with the fact I can barely even remember how many other cds, mp3's and bands I've made this call about, clearly Kinky rules over them all! Before i go any further I must pay mention to the master from Silence is a Rhythm Too for introducing my ears to this, I suggest you all check out his blog.

Ok, the show must go on. Kinky are a five piece from Monterrey, Mexico but really who cares about that? Producing an insanely dancable percussive sound, the smooth-effortless bass nails down some of the finest synth since Van She from exploding into the sky and emploring every living creatures in the universe to be sucked into their sexy abyss.

With a new album just released, without question my stand out track is "Monday Killer" (yes its my display name on myspace, get over it, GOSH!) and if the infectiousness of Kinky wasn't enough, throw in a guest appearence from Men at Work frontman Colin May and then you've got the final spice to your recipe of unrivalled perfection!

Think I'm taking it too far?

If you ticked yes then perhaps we think you take it to far by pumping Shannon Noll on the bus when really, you should be finishing your complete Noll experience with jumping off a cliff in Western Australia, no one will find you there.
