Soft Tigers Heart, It races
Yeah I know, cheesy post title I know. But I was down at the good old Penrith Plaza today, picking up some new cds to give a whirl and to my surprise I stumbled accross a single of "Heart it Races" by Aussie Muppet lovers Architecture in Helsinki.
Now that Pink Skull remix that is floating around all the blogs interested me about as much as the latest opinion polls concerning Kevin Rudd, but this little 5 tracker features some really neat stuff on it.
Most notably (and what I am sharing with you today) is a surprising inclusion of a cover of "Heart it races" performed by none other than Sydney darlings of the now, Soft Tigers.
I thought to myself this is quite a ballsy undertaking for any band to dare cover Architecture in Helsinki but I think Soft Tigers have gone about it exactly the right way. You're never going to be able to produce something on a grander scale than Architecture in Helsinki let alone beat them at their own game. So Soft Tigers have done the reverse and broke the song down to a simplistic little ditty of fun. I enjoy the take they've done on it and I think it really shows the diversity that Soft Tigers are capable of. Looking forward to getting my hands on 'Gospel Ambitions' soon from those boys but it's only on cassette so I'm not liking my chances.

Bonus Treat: The amazing clip directed by Kimberly Issac Moyes for you all to enjoy to. For me it gets clip of the year so far. But that's just me.
