Love in C Minor

I found my DeLorean again, and this year in the relaunched whiteboydancefloor it is going to get a fair workout as I aim to do some serious crate digging and time traveling. Sure the car might be a little dusty, rust may be setting in inside the passenger door hinge and I don't own any 8-track tapes to play in that bizarre contraption in the dash. I got in, and here is where it went to.

The blueprint for house was created by Disco, which when you listen to music such as Cerrone's, you get a strange sense of deja vu, as it sounds like so much of the house music released over the past decade. All the music you hear in wanky bars today is heavily inflenced by this amazing period in music history.

C minor is the best key for love, apparently. And this sleazy and debaucherous disco sound is the best backing track for making some of that love. The sleaze is only heightened by Cerrone's disgraceful moustache and that incredibly filthy bass line.

Computer and music were in the early days of their courtship at this stage, and by the sound of Kebekelektrik's 'War Dance', they were keen to consumate the relationship. This is disco's equivalent of tantric, lengthy opuses of seductive and synthentic disco grooves that keep the enjoyment for around 9 minutes. Not quite how long it takes to get from wherever in the universe this music was made back to Earth, but long enough for me.
