Guns Don't Kill People... Daggering does

There is no restrained way I can sugar coat it, I am absolutely madly in love with the work of Kid Sister. I know you must be suspect taking advice on rap or hip hop from a white boy, but don't hate.

Ok so I wouldn't say that my opinion regarding rap, hip hop or anything cool are all that refined but my love affair kicked off with old school throwback 'Family Reunion' which definitely proved she had the chops to match it. It had the right feel good vibe and oodles of potential.

On my second encounter with Kid Sister was 'Right Hand High' ventures into new territory and delivers something that is definitely radio friendly. It would sit nicely between the type of songs we are bombarded with from Ciara or say Timbaland (if he didn't go stale) where the lines between dance, pop, rap and rnb are so blurred you don't know what to think.

Check it out, Kid Sister... total babe.

Myspace Vid: Major Lazer - Pon De Floor feat. Afro Jack & VYBZ Cartel

If you consider yourself even a moderate reader of blogs, you'd of heard about Diplo & Switch's creation Major Lazer some time ago. The album 'Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do' is bringing dancehall themes among many others to the people, well let's face it, to us ignorant white people.

Everyone I have shown the clip to 'Pon De Floor' to has been mortified by the simulated dry hump dancing known as daggering which features throughout the clip and has been banned in Jamaica due to too many injuries. After you watch the clip, I'm sure you'll be stunned that such a dance style originated in the Carribean.

Diplo & Switch are bringing their project to Aussie shores... Thus far only shows in WA & Victoria are planned, so it's not worth mentioning.

**Oww keep your eyes peeled too, Whiteboydancefloor are going to be jumping on the twitter train very soon with exclusive content we won't post anywhere else.
