One Day I'll Live In An Apartment

Move past the fact that at times most middle of the row guitar music sounds like B-sides from a Strokes album and you're well onto your way to enjoying "Apartment" by Young The Giant. Musically there is little to make this remarkable aside from some appropriately timed tambourine work. The breath and easy vocal of frontman Sameer Gadhia sits nicely amongst more sedate surroundings but cannot help but stand out and shine over else.

You'll need to wait til May 6th for the Self Titled Debut

Last time I saw Last Dinosaurs was at Splendour. I was underwhelmed by their anecdotal fakery between songs. It wasn't cute even if you've got a poncho. My initial enjoyment that they were sporting Japanese Football jerseys quickly turned and all I could think about was taking them on in a game of six on six to show them how we play the beautiful game Western Sydney style.

Anyways moving on, they've released a new song "Time & Place" and if you're a fan of what Last Dinosaurs do, this is right up your alley. The song is about Nikola Tesla and conceptually explores the interesting jeckle and hyde world of Tesla. However I think most Last Dinosaurs fans are the same ones who put their best chav accent on to proclaim how they "predict a riot" they most probably won't appreciate the cleverness of the subject matter. Think of it as an energetic continuation of where they left off on Back From The Dead EP.
