I see london, I see france...

I have to put off my trip to England because of my horrid lack of money. Even my car is sitting out the front of my house in desperate need of some petrol as it will not co-operate with me and let me 'Flinstone' it. Although causing me to be totally bummed out, I am on the flip side deliriously happy because I am now back home in Melbourne. See you later Sydney you cruel mistress. I'll miss you Kings Cross drunkeness.

Although none of these songs are anything new I thought i'd give you a few of my fav little England-esque pick me up songs. Sure it's just a bunch of videos but that hour and a half in a plane left me jet lagged and i'm pretty sure I have a killer case of DVT.

Good Shoes - All In My Head
This one has one of my all time favourite lines, "I play in a band but i've got not talent", that should be many a bands tag lines. Hmmm who can I pick on? Galvatrons i'm looking at you.

Art Brut - Emily Kane
A London guy once wrote me a song like this. Soppily romantic yes, but I still like listening to this song with the slightly talk-sing vocals. Pick up your game Australian men.

The Fratellis - Creepin Up The Backstairs
Eeee! Great energy and riff. I don't know why this wasn't more popular. I find it far superior to Chelsea Dagger but ah well, that's the way it usually goes. Hearing this song usually results in me doing one of those Night At The Roxbury dances.

Bloc Party - One More Chance
As soon as I heard this I proceeded to play it over and over again. My housemate Dani was probably sick to death of it but then again she did make me listen to Arctic Monkeys Humbug 8 times in a row one night. Yes 8 times. Luckily I love the Arctic Monkeys and have no underlying resentment towards Alex Turner. Oh yeah, Bloc Party, love the almost 80's new wave throwback and the keyboard intro. Killer.

Out.

I'd be mad if you didn't have mad cross stitch, navigation and making out skills.

When I make my first million from duck farming i'll give you a shout out.
